Here are a few updates about COVID-19 brought to you by Waccamaw Management:
Pet Advice: treat your pets as you would if they were humans during this time. It is still unknown how the virus affects animals.
Facts:
- Just because you can hold your breath for long periods of time does not mean that you do not have the virus
- Hand dryers do not kill the virus
- Mosquitos cannot transmit the virus from person to person
- The virus can still be transmitted in hot/humid areas
Slowly going back to normal:
Although the stay at home order was extended to May 15th, 2020 (signed April 12, 2020) things have slowly started to open back up to the public
- April 17th, 2020:boat ramps, and landings restrictions have been modified.
- April 20th, 2020:restrictions on some business', such as certain retail stores has been lifted
- April 20th, 2020:public beach access' and waterways open if approved by local jurisdictions
